A busy Chemical Lab department of a Fortune 500 Company has an immediate opening for a Lab Assistant to help organize samples in the lab, file paperwork, assist with data entry and cleaning up the lab environment. The selected individual will either have some Chemical QC experience and/or will be trained on Chemical Lab Quality Control techniques and lab testing equipment including spectrometers, centrifuges and titration tubes applying theory, measurement and testing methods. Initially, you will assist with QC work as needed, substitute when the QC department is short staffed (either 1st or 2nd shift); this will likely turn into a full time QC role.
Must have good data entry experience and computer systems experience as you will be utilizing SAP, Excel, Access, etc.
Requirements:
Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 40 pounds.
Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate obstacles in work flow details.
Strong proficiency with computers and lab related software programs. Ideally including Access, Excel and SAP
Must pass colorblindness test
Must possess strong mathematical skills including the ability to perform conversions such as volume to weight measurement
Must pass a drug and background check.
Preferred:
College Degree in Chemistry Preferred
Color Theory experience
Titration Tube, Centrifuge and Spectrometer experience
Knowledge of SAP is a plus, but not required

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
