Description
Summary:
The Supply Chain Generalist Associate will expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments of an establishment according to the production schedule. Determine progress of work and completion dates; and communicate the progress of work, inventory levels, costs, and production problems. Analyze the movement, storage, or processing of inventory. Examine existing procedures or opportunities for streamlining activities to meet product distribution needs.
DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
The following duties and responsibilities are representative and may be expanded.
Responsibilities include reviewing and distributing production, work, and shipment schedules; conferring with department supervisors.
Ensure raw materials and finished products are supplied to internal and external customers on a timely basis.
Review documents, such as production schedules and work orders to determine personnel or material requirements or material priorities.
Confer with department supervisors or other personnel to assess progress and discuss needed changes.
Examine documents, materials, or products and monitor work processes to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards and specifications.
Confer with establishment personnel, vendors, or customers to coordinate production or shipping activities and to resolve complaints or eliminate delays.
Requisition and maintain inventories of materials or supplies necessary to meet production demands.
Support activities to achieve all KPIs and metrics associated with all warehouse activities (i.e., ordering, receiving, inventorying, shipping materials, etc.).
Confer with supply chain planners to forecast demand or create supply plans that ensure availability of materials or products.
Analyze inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste, or optimize customer service.
Participate in the coordination of engineering changes, product line extensions, or new product launches to ensure orderly and timely transitions in material or production flow.

EDUCATION AND
Experience:
Bachelors degree from a four-year college or university is required.
Related experience and/or training a plus.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Knowledgeable in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Ability to learn and adapt to ERP systems.
