Maximum Health Care Solutions Maximum Health Care Solutions Northlake, IL Northlake, IL Full-time PRN Full-time PRN $65 - $70 an hour $65 - $70 an hour 9 days ago 9 days ago 9 days ago Duties - Provide direct and specialized nursing care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) - Monitor and assess patients' conditions, including vital signs, lab results, and changes in symptoms - Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by physicians - Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans - Perform procedures such as IV insertion, wound care, and ostomy care - Monitor and manage pain levels of patients and administer pain management techniques - Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families Experience - Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an ICU setting - Proficient in using electronic medical record systems - Familiarity with ICD-9 coding for accurate documentation and billing purposes Skills:
- Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to make critical decisions quickly - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare team members and patients/families - Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment - Proficient in IV insertion techniques and medication administration via inhalation route Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of duties or skills required for the position.
