Day Shift Description:
The Surgery Scheduling Coordinator's primary responsibility is to coordinate the reliable and efficient scheduling of all surgical procedures performed in the operating rooms of Loyola University Medical Center (LUMC).
On a daily basis, this individual will work with a multidisciplinary team of providers and clinicians to promote timely and adequate patient access to the OR's Master Daily Schedule while ensuring efficient, fair, and equitable utilization of key department resources (e.
g.
OR capacity, medical equipment, Anesthesia/Nursing personnel, etc.
).
Additionally, the Surgery Scheduling Coordinator will demonstrate LUMC's Magis Values and Service Excellence Standards, specifically through the cultivation of trustworthy relationships with Surgeon's and their supporting departments.
Obtains necessary insurance authorization using knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding.

Administrative or technical background acquired through completion of 2 - 3 years of college Minimum
