ASSOCIATE SUPERVISOR, SECURITY

Job Summary Responsible for the coordination and supervision of the Contract Security Team and maintaining security of all resources (people, property, and products including controlled substance program as applicable) for the company facility.
Identifies security risks and implements preventative measures.
Ensures compliance with all company and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities o Coordinate all the activities of contract security workforce.
This includes ensuring security guards are trained on all relevant Fresenius Kabi SOPs, supervises performance to company expectation, delegates to lead security guard, interacts with security contractor on staffing needs or performance problems.
o Sets objectives and conducts initiatives to improve facility and personnel security.
o Performs facility assessments for actual or potential security breaches, researches and suggests corrective and preventative action.
o Assures the compliant application of departmental and company policies and procedures, safety programs, standards and cGMP's.
o Coordinates and ensures personnel training is up-to-date.
Recommends and executes training and follow-up programs to enhance staff development.
Regularly evaluates performance of contractor (security) personnel.
o Establishes effective communication methods to provide continuity of information across all operations and shifts.
o Creates, revises and reviews departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Security Policy Documents.
o Provides KPI data to managers in support of monthly reports.
o Secures estimates and cost quotes for contractor selection.
Obtains competitive bid proposals from the required number of vendors according to our procurement procedures.
o Establishes and monitors compliance to visitor and employee entry/exit procedures and revises when business needs require.
Addresses motor vehicle moving and parking violations on company property by determining responsible driver and reporting incident to management.
o Initiates timely and effective notification and response measures incidents or emergencies.
o Ensures the performance of routine patrols of buildings and grounds Ensures video taping system is operating correctly, maintains requests for video copies and ensures requests are documented according to SOP, responds to video copying requests.
Monitors the access control, fire, and video surveillance systems.
Reacts to suspicious conditions and activities in accordance with established policies and procedures.
o Reports abnormal or unsafe conditions and activities to department Manager.
Initiates clear and concise security incident reports to document abnormal or unsafe condition/activities.
o Performs and assists with preventive maintenance duties on the facility's fire and security systems and equipment.
o Coordinates and schedules repairs/service on security and fire equipment and systems as needed.
o Schedules, performs, and documents baggage inspections at required intervals as employees and visitors exit the facility.
o Provides escort services for visitors, contractors, and vendors as needed.
o Acts as a backup for telephone switchboard operations and provides breaks for the Security Guards as needed.
o Maintains security controls over the facility's keys.
Facilitates key making requests.
o Maintains visitor log and issues visitor badges.
o Creates and processes new employee ID badges.
o Maintains the facilities access control system.
This includes making updates to employee access control levels as needed.
o Maintains locker assignments to ensure all employees have an assigned locker.
Coordinates and participates in locker inspections and searches.
o Inputs data into security databases to update and maintain records.
o Maintains the confidentiality of privileged information known by virtue of the position.
o Performs other duties as assigned by the department Manager.
Works overtime as required All employees are responsible for:

Bachelor of Science degree preferred or combination of education, experience and training in related field.
High school diploma is required.
1 - 3 years progressive responsibility in security.
Some supervisory experience preferred.
Formal training and/or certification in security and safety practices Ability to obtain DEA clearance for controlled substance areas as applicable Experience in guiding and training staff Excellent oral and written communication skills.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
