PROJECT MANAGER

Job SummaryThe Project Manager is managing the Electronic Batch Record project in Melrose Park as part of the Engineering and Digitalization Center in North America.
The incumbent coordinates the project teams from various departments.
The position will assist the planning and implementation of Electronic Batch Record Systems.
This is an on-site position at our Melrose Park, IL site.
Responsibilities Standardizes and keeps track of project processes including but not limited to documentation, risk management, and change control.
Coordinating of project meetings.
Provides support to the Sr.
Director of Engineering and Digitalization Center and the Head of the MESs Competence Center with regards to:
Execution of Digital Factory projects to drive digitalization in Manufacturing.
Coordinating resources to effectively completing projects on time, within budget and within technical scope.
Establish necessary priority deadlines and accountability for self and others / tracking and presenting status of projects.
Assuring projects are compliant with state, federal and local codes that encompass FDA, EPA, OSHA, and hazardous waste related issues.
Coordinating of work managers of sub-projects in various disciplines.
Coordinating of project team with others (e.
g.
, leadership team, ext.
resources, etc.
), ensuring effective working relationship and partnerships between the groups.
Effectively interacting with various departments (e.
g.
, Production, Quality, Technology, Maintenance or Validation) to achieve project goals.
Specific focus on the design and implementation of EBR systems and Digital Factory Platforms Orchestrating design and implementation of EBR and other Digital Factory Platforms Coaching and support of central and local teams during eBR Design Coaching and support of central and local teams during integration of eBR with xloT Platforms or manufacturing lines.
Responsible for gathering requirements and objectives of projects and ensuring communication of project goals and business direction to function management.
Support the design and development process for new and existing shop floor systems needed to support critical business strategies.
Translating user and/or system requirements into functional technical specification.
Controlling the preparation and execution of validation protocols for new and upgraded IT systems.
Coordinating the activities of the project teams and leads the improvement of the project management competencies of other project managers.
Initiating change control, risk assessments, work orders, SOP's, AOF's, purchase orders, and other required paperwork to maintain compliance with company policies.
Provide day-to-day support for manufacturing operations and shop floor activities.
Tests, documents, and conducts end user training regarding shop floor system enhancements to ensure the systems are being used properly and that they are meeting business needs.
Document all changes according to proper standards.
Provide end-user support on the digital shop floor systems and associated software packages.
Support the hardware systems being used by shop floor systems.
This includes monitoring system health; maintain connected peripherals, application software patches and maintaining overall system performance.
Train employees and assist or undertake the writing of instructional procedures, user guides and systems documentation as needed.
Job Requirements:
BS in engineering discipline 5 to 10 years of experience in a leading role in implementing and qualifying computerized systems and digitalization initiatives.
3 years of experience in Manufacturing Execution Systems, Manufacturing IT & Digital Solutions.
3 years of Experience in project management.
3 years of Experience in managing others directly or in a matrix organization.
Clear track record leadership from inception to completion of engineering projects in the pharmaceutical industry.
Knowledge of high-speed equipment and computerized systems.
Knowledge of known PM methods, techniques, and tools.
Knowledge of GMP and EMEA required.
Excellent oral and written communication and conflict management skills.
Able to work under pressure:
Timing and opposition.
Ability to present complex technical concepts to a technical or non-technical audience.
