Responsibilities:
Act as a liaison between the customer contact(s) on the project site and Interlake Mecalux departments to coordinate the delivery and installation of material handling equipment products.
Meet with customers regularly to maintain strong relationships.
Schedule and communicate of status and needs of these projects among our Engineering, Accounting, Sales, Purchasing, and Logistics departments.
Collaborate with our purchasing department when the project requires outside purchased material or services.
Develop the RFQs, manage the quote review, and release the PO's.
Determine and obtain necessary permitting required for the installation.
Inspect subcontracted installation work of Interlake Mecalux products to ensure compliance with contractual commitments.
Develop project timelines and budgets with milestone dates for completion of work.
Meet with contractors and customers to ensure project is completed according to schedule.
Write project reports, memoranda, and correspondence detailing project status and issues.
Resolve issues and determine alternative solutions to construction, manufacturing, installation, or equipment issues and problems at customer sites.
Meet and negotiate with the customer to determine the cost, terms, and conditions of change orders.
Supervise the installation or Interlake Mecalux products and purchased products and materials.
Travel in furtherance of responsibilities (US and Canada).
Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management or related work experience.
Ability to travel up to 100% during first three months, then approximately 25% thereafter.
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
Professional communication and customer service skills with ability to lead through a strong character and with confidence.
Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple simultaneous projects with diverse teams.
Advanced MS Office skills.
Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
